The European Commission launched last Wednesday the upgraded European Alternative Fuels Observatory (EAFO 3.0). The EAFO is the Commission’s knowledge centre, containing a wealth of data on alternative fuels in Europe. It gathers information on infrastructure roll-out for alternative fuels, the uptake of alternative fuels and support measures in the Member States and the other European countries within EAFO’s scope. The new database is more user-friendly and has a higher quality of data compared with older versions and provides a new platform for public authorities to access the data. The new EAFO has also been developed to include rail and aviation, sectors that so far, had not been covered by the observatory. ( Read more…)
